The composition and working principle of bag filter

Bag filter is composed of two main parts: filter housing and filter bag, and the filtration process is carried out on the surface of the filter medium. The cleaning of the filter bag during filtration adopts a very convenient back-blowing and backwashing process, which is a relatively new type of pressure filtration device.

The filter slurry (suspension) of the bag filter is pumped into the pressure vessel and filtered through the filter bag. When filtering, the filter bag is pressed against the cage because the diameter of the bag is larger than the cage. The intercepted solid phase particles are attached to the surface of the filter bag to form a filter cake, and the filtrate is discharged from the shell after filtering through the filter bag. When the cake layer adhering to the surface of the filter bag reaches a good thickness in operation, stop filtration, discharge the residual liquid, the use of compressed air back-blowing filter bag unloading slag.

After removing the filter cake, the filter bag is regenerated by back-sin with washing water. Therefore, the bag filter is especially suitable for the separation of difficult-to-filter suspensions containing more tiny particles and colloidal substances.
