Self-cleaning principle:

Filtration status

Liquid flows in from the inlet, the disc-shaped scraper with spring abuts the inner surface of the filter element, stops at the top of the filter element, the liquid passes through the scraper, flows outwards from the inner surface of the filter element, the impurities are trapped on the inner surface, Outflow, as time goes by, impurities gradually increased pressure drop, the blade start to clean the filter element according the pressure differential or setting time.

Cleaning status

Cylinder-driven scraper cleaning element up and down , When the scraper moves downward , the impurities are scraped and pushed to the bottom of the filter, a large proportion of impurities goes into the collection chamber. When the scraper moves upwards, the residual impurities are scraped off and pushed to the top of the filter element. The impurities are washed away by the flowing liquid, and pass through the scraper to return to the surface of the filter element. When the scraper moves downward, it is scraped away by several times Process, After surface cleaning, It restore the filtration ability, The filter working normally when on self-cleaning , the flow is not interrupted.

Impurities discharge status

After some cleaning cycles, the impurities accumulate to a certain amount, and the equipment periodically opens the drain valve to discharge the slag liquid with high concentration of impurities, it can also be recovered if necessary.

For the PSS-CF filter, we have developed two dedicated models of ACS control system, economy and high performance type based on Siemens PLC design, running our proprietary program, control the operation of the filter efficiently to fully meet the various requirement of automation and control.

Economy Type- time control type, cleaning cycle and Drain cycle setting by the time period, no pressure gauge

High configuration type- Both pressure and time setting model, the pressure difference reflects the accumulation of filter cake thick and degree of filter element plugging, When pressure differential mode reached the setting pressure differential, start self-cleaning, the recommend cleaning pressure differential value is 50kpa, Usually the value can be 10-100Kpa according to Working conditions. Pressure mode is the most efficient, it is widely used, the time mode can be set in 0-24 hours, When the pressure mode failed, the time mode is still working, highlighting the safety protection of this function, the time period setting should be close to the average of pressure differential mode.

High configuration with three dry contacts, reflecting the power status, cleaning status and fault status, fault feedback including pressure overload, valve switch failure, Whether the blade stuck or not. The implementation of real-time monitoring and timely troubleshooting, to avoid equipment damage , avoiding the drain valve failure leads to material wastage and pressure fluctuation.
